The House on Mango Street by Sandra Cisneros
"The House on Mango Street" by Sandra Cisneros I think that people should read this book because it shows kids how to be confident no matter what the situation is.
The setting was in a small apartment in mango street no one liked it all the time Esperanza told someone she liked there they would make a rude comment or make a face. Esperanza would care about what everyone used to say she want confident in herself she hated were she lived she would sometimes lie to people about where she lived.
I really think people should read this because this book shows people how to be confident about themselves and where they live. Esperanza used to be embarrassed of where she lived and how she would dress so she started to wish they when she got older she can move far away but she then realized how important that house was to her.
