The House on Mango Street by Sandra Cisneros
The book The House on Mango Street by Sandra Cisneros is a classic read by many including you! It is a loved book by readers of all ages including grade schoolers to college students! It's an exciting story full of emotions revolving around a girl named Esperanza Cordero. As her story is told in a series of vignettes full of new inputs of new emotions and feelings it's strong and empowering to a young Latina girl growing up in Chicago on Mango Street. Moving into a new house accepting a new life to grow from to create a future for herself and who or what she will become! You'll meet a variety of characters who are important in Esperanza's life impacting her and how she grows. All positive and negative creating a new outlet as to who she becomes! Staying in the Mango Street, trying to create as many places as she can in this limited space full of new feelings. As just recently finishing the whole book, I was blown away with how this book made me feel. I would suggest it to anyone looking for a book to grow with!
