el clasico by Richard
El Clasico
Richard Fitzpatrick just doesn't give inside exclusives to the game, but he also lets you see what happens once your tv is off. It will change your whole view on how you see the game and have a whole understanding of why it's watched all over the world by millions of people. Messi and Ronaldo are the best soccer players in the world and, might be the the biggest rivalry known to soccer. The author goes deep into both of the clubs, and makes you see the rivalry doesn't end there as big money as well as big business put a load on money for advertising.
I recommend this book for any soccer fanatics no matter if you dislike both of the teams. The game involves more than the player but the fans make a big impact on the game. Big business will also influence fans in how they support the team in bad moments . Fans will always expect more than what happened.
Barcelona and Madrid have always had something in different as the author explains how their location has something to do with it. He shows how in barcelona the support for the team is tremendous as they are known more as catalans, and don't consider themselves spanish. On the other side he brings out a good point about how Real Madrid's fans are mostly from around the world as the Spanish Capital has other teams for example Atletico Madrid tha divide most of the city's citizens. Real madrid's history has brought a lot of attention to the club ,and a lot had to with Real madrid winning the famous “La Decima’ on 2014.
I enjoyed the book and getting to know more about my favorite team it got me hooked . There's good and bad things people don't know about the game . The club changes so does the game as it gets more modern . The last clash ended up bad for the spanish capital and glory for the catalan city in victory of 4-0 , The clash has and will be the biggest rivalry, and have big fans supporting their team
