The Diary of a Young Girl by And Frank
Diary of a Young Girl is one of the best novels, or one of the only novels about the holocaust one can read. Every page holds new meaning, and new secrets. In some chapters of the book, it was very hard to put down. Anne Frank explains her life problems, experiences, and memories. I recommend this book to people who enjoy historical fiction.
Anne Frank was a young girl living a normal life. Happy, wealthy family, great friends, what more could she ask for? One day, her world took a turn. Nazis began to invade, forcing her family into hiding. After two years had passed Anne died of a disease a few days before she was to be released.
As much as I love this novel, every book has their faults. One of the major faults of this book was the inappropriate content. Many times I would be read about what goes on inside "her". Talking about sexual things, and I am not just talking about puberty related topics. I just don't find it very appropriate for younger readers to be reading about this. Overall, I thought it was very interesting. The novel is very inspiring, even if it can be a bit inappropriate at times.
In conclusion, Diary of a Young Girl is one of the best and the only book about the holocaust there will ever be. This novel shows emotion, courage, love and hope. Diary of a Young Girl is a very touching story about life, and one of the most devastating events in history. Although Ann died young, she will be remembered. Anne Frank's diary has given us an idea of what it was like to be apart of the holocaust. Something everyone should read in their life experience.
