“They'd strung the king up with razor wire in a city square north of the river.”

Honor Guard, by Dan Abnett, is about a division of soldiers called the Tanith First.
This division along with the rest of the Imperial Guard is commanded by the emperor on a mission to free the planets held under chaos forces in order to find a saint that could help end the war.

This book in my opinion is an excellent tale of war and heroism. The author does an incredibly good job of describing things and will make you feel like you're actually in the battle.” A hard sharp dent appeared in the resilient metal next to Gaunt's head, crumbs of paint flecked off with the impact.”

I could not put this book down because it is incredibly exciting and just when you think you're out of a battle you're suddenly ambushed! This book is awesome and I would recommend it to anyone over fourteen and with a thirst for adventure.
