Percy Jackson and the sea of monsters by Rick Riordan
The Sea of monsters is a good book that involves magic monsters and adventure. There are some really cool parts where Percy and his friends have to find creative ways to get out of tricky situations. After escaping from a sorceress that tried to turn him into a guinea pig he soon finds that being the son of the sea god enables him to control a whole ship by himself by using ocean currents to steer.
They run into Clarisse who takes them aboard her ship which soon explodes leaving Percy to wonder if Tyson survived. When the reach the island where Grover is trapped, they see the golden fleece hanging on a tree. They find a creative way to sneak into the cave to save Grover and Clarrise. After they escape Percy finds out his step brother Tyson is still alive.
When they return with the fleece they put it on Thalia's tree and something unexpected happens to end the book.
