Upon entering the Nashotah clubhouse I was astounded by the positive atmosphere it gave off.  Younger men and women laughed as they told jokes and people at the bar were smiling. Older people chatted in booths similar to a family gathering.  The employees were positive, courteous and even shared some laughs as well. At one point I couldn’t help myself so I began laughing and overhearing others jokes.  What is most noteworthy about the Nashotah Clubhouse is the welcoming atmosphere that brings people together. I was greeted by a server who then cheerfully guided me through the bar area which then lead to a dining room with different sized tables.

Just one glance at the drink menu and I noticed the lacking variety it had to offer.  Some of the choices were default soda, “juice”, ice tea, and milk. As I pondered my limited options, I stared off into the paintings on the walls.  The artwork ranged from golf games to friends sharing a laugh. The colors used were mostly an array of mild yellow, dark green and light blue which depicted a lively type of setting.  When I gave the lively, smiling server my drink order, she happily suggested items such as: Soup du Jour, Mushroom swiss burger, Caribbean jerk chicken and many more.

When she returned, I decided to order some Jalapeno poppers as a appetizer.  Then for my meal I ordered a Black Jack Burger. While I waited for my appetizer, I noticed the bathrooms were kept clean, functional and had more detailed artwork on the walls.

The server then appeared with my Jalapeno poppers.  Every bite was delicious and satisfying. The outside was crunchy and the inside was warm and filled with melted cheese.   The Jalapenos added heat, but not too much to overpower the rest of the flavors. Overall they were well done, yet the only drawback was my waitime.  I assumed the appetizer would come somewhat earlier than it did, though a time of 15 minutes isn’t bad considering the large crowd on 50 cent wing Wednesdays.

Now was the real deal, my server gave me my Black Jack Burger.  Immediately I noticed how well it was prepared considering the presentation was professional with the contents and the bun all in tact standing tall. The thick fries on the side added to the appearance of the burger giving it the impression that it was large.  The first bite was full of flavor and spice that surprised my taste buds. The sauteed peppers, mushrooms and onions were an excellent add on to the burger as they seamlessly melted in my mouth. The cajun spice was unique and I thought it made an excellent appearance in this burger.  The pepper jack slices were flavorful and warm, but not overpowering. Overall the burger was satisfying with an array of flavors and textures that was pleasing to me. The only drawback was a total wait time of 45 minutes for a burger; however, I gave them the benefit of the doubt after tasting the excellence that is the Black Jack Burger.

As I payed for my meal I noticed the fair pricing; some examples include: $9.75 for a outstanding Black Jack Burger and fries, free water of course, and only $7.95 for some of the best Jalapeno Poppers I have ever ate.  With a price tag as low as the one I had, the Clubhouse can expect to see me more often. The service was satisfactory and I enjoyed my first time experience. I noticed how all the little details in the restaurant were ways to create an environment customers would enjoy and willingly return.  I would most definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants to be welcomed and satisfied by a excellent dinner service at a reasonable price.
