Being a tired girl with a busy life is hard, which is why I require coffee to make my day go right. Especially, during the holidays, this is a struggle. That is why I stop at my local Starbucks.

“The blend is the magic,” said on every cup during the holiday season. The magical moment when you walk into the store you are bombarded by the wonderful smells of peppermint and the classic eggnog. Every corner is decorated with Christmas garland, and the colors of red and green ornaments hung ever so nicely. Gold lettering on each and every cup go as far as the eye can see. Starbucks knows just how to bring Christmas magic to life.

However, this magical feeling would be lost without my absolute favorite item on the holiday menu, the peppermint mocha. This drink is a holiday classic made with their signature espresso, mixed with peppermint-flavored syrup. The hot, yet cool drink will make you believe that reindeer can really fly. The cool of the peppermint relaxes me so much that I can get through the stress of Black Friday shopping.

There are plenty of other drink choices to get you in the holiday spirit. To start off, you first need to figure out what you like more classic or experimental. If you are a classic holiday drink person then I recommend the Eggnog Latte. This drink will satisfy your cravings for freshly warmed eggnog in no time. If not for the taste of freshly brewed eggnog, the dusting of nutmeg will certainly have you singing Christmas carols in no time. If you are on the side of more experimental then go with the Toasted White Chocolate Mocha. This drink is a caramelized white chocolate mocha that almost tastes like sitting in front of a roaring fire.

If you do head into Starbucks over the holiday season, expect to wait at least a few minutes for your drink since they are handcrafted just for you. The overall wait is well worth it when the magic hits your taste buds.  

During the holidays, if you are a tired girl like me it becomes a struggle to have the motivation to get things done. With the help of Starbucks coffee, the magical blends of classic eggnog with a dash of nutmeg, or the experimental Toasted White Chocolate Mocha while sitting by the roaring fire, you will burst you awake. Coffee drinker or not, Starbucks puts the magic into the holiday season for everyone.
