College Should Be Free
The writing titled “College Should be Free,” written by Jeb St. Thomas, talks about how college should be free for students. His writing made me feel interested. I agree, college should be free because it would allow kids to go to college and get a better education for the real world. According to the author, “the average cost for one year of college ranges from 25,000 for public in state college and 51,000 for a private college.’’ “State schools should offer a free tuition period,” said the author. A college degree increases lifetime earnings substantially by about $1,000,000 and provides better and more employment opportunities. Since we are one of the wealthiest countries in the world, we can afford to make college an option for every American family.
