In the first light of the morning
I’ll take what I need
You’ll take what I leave
On the dawning of a stormy Monday
The morning’s fresh haze
The night’s renewed faith
And it takes all my strength to turn you away
The thought of you is a bitter taste
This summer sun’s late
In taking your place
