Doodle a Day
If you draw a pirate ship on a raging sea,
Does it have a history?
Did it face a giant monstrous kraken?
Or house a hull full of gold and dreams?
If you draw a knight riding a steed,
Is he a hero of the knight’s creed?
Is he off to rescue a distressed princess?
Or slay a dragon for its teeth?
If you draw a golden lucky cat,
Will it serve as a lucky charm?
Can a pencil dream catcher,
Keep you from your nightmares’ harm?
If you draw at all, then you must understand,
The odd disinterested doodles displays,
Along the margins and white spaces they span,
Of my Algebra notebook every page, every day.

Doodling (what a funny word!)- it happens to the best of us, even those who do not believe they can draw. We doodle during the lulls in school of the lesson being taught, and the times at which we are supposed to be doing homework. Some people doodle during work, and some people doodle on foggy windows.
I, however, believe in drawing as often as you can. Keep your imagination fed. Enjoy!
