every man needs a muse
every man needs a muse and mine could be the bottle
i dont know what to say
then again ill probably always feel this way
this is something that ill never control
my needs will be the death of me.
she whispers in my ear
oh my dear i fear that our love will surely fade
but on that day i swear to you that i won’t run
when all the bad days outweigh the good
and you don’t feel like you should
when everyone that you know, has left you alone
where will you go, when you’re all alone
and you have no place to call home
maybe this cup of wine can validate my sorrows
but then again that would just be to easy
i think a shot or two of good whiskey will help to
i wonder if you’ll ever be content, with the way these things always end
theres a funeral procession headed our way
theres people searching for a better way, to live they’re lives
its like a mans best party only comes after he dies
i think we would be better of living our own lives
separate from each other today

this first started out as a song for my old band but quickly turned into something more personal, and now i have it as a sort of poem for a few friends, i was inspired to write this partially because of my own alcohol addiction and partly because of two of my friends that have completely destroyed their lives with it, its more of a story than anything else at this point.
