Silence of the damned

No jury
To whom you can plead your case
You’ve got a record
Your past ain’t erased
No lawyer
To prove your innocence
You know it’s over, you’ve known since you looked into your mothers eyes
and she cried “why?
Baby what have you done with your life?
You promised me you would do fine
On your own.”

No words.
Your silence is enough.
As you’re pronounced guilty
You wear those cold, hard,empty,cuffs.
You can hardly stand.
You see you are one of the damned
To live forever and ever and ever
Living in misery.

The tears
Fall straight down your skin
You act like you don’t care
This is a fight you swore you would win.
Your mind
Races back and forth
As they ask you what it is you’ve been fighting for.
They scream “You rebel!You sinner!
Why are you so contrary?
Don’t you see this is for the best?”

No words.
Your silence is enough.
As you’re changed,remodeled into
Something you are not
You can hardly move
You realize you’re one of those screwed
To live forever and ever and ever
As a threat to perfect personality

Everybody wants to change the world
But no one wants to give up their life
Everybody wants to die a martyr
But almost no one wants to try

No words.
Your silence is enough.
As you live a martyr
Your whole life you gave up
You don’t want to speak
But you are not one of the weak
To live forever and ever and ever
Ignorant of suffering
No words.
Your silence is enough.
As you live a martyr
Your whole life you gave up
You don’t want to speak
But you are not one of the weak
To live forever and ever and ever
Ignorant of suffering

They’ve got the upper hand
You see you are one of the damned
To live forever and ever and ever
In dystopian society.
