Dear Colin (Beautiful)
Dear Colin, it’s a beautiful day.
And the sun is shining like the smile on your face.
I know things won’t always go my way,
But I hope that it’s not too late.
There are words I’ve been hiding lately,
And the light in your eyes made me think that maybe
You don’t know what I’d do to spend a second of my life with you.
And I don’t want to talk about it.
I just want to see you laughing.
I want to ride in your passenger’s seat,
With your hands off the wheel while your looking at me.
And I don’t want a blank stare,
With your arm around her shoulder while I act like I don’t care.
I want you to know you’re the only thing I see,
When the lights are off and you’re looking at me.
I’ll always dream to be with beautiful,
Wrapped in your arms in a black and white Polaroid.
And you’ll always be my magical,
Even when you avoid me.
And I know you’ll run far,
Remember who you are,
If I never get the chance to say,
Stay beautiful.
Dear Colin, it’s the simple embrace.
Of everything I could have, I kneeled to pray for you.
You’re the reason why I feel displaced
When you’re so far away.
And can’t you tell that you’re making me crazy.
Through my tears, I thought... just maybe,
You don’t know what I’ve been through to get this message through to you.
