This is Getting Old
How do you fight, when the words don't fit right?
There's a deafening silence
The stares stay quiet like a kite
When there's no air to fly it
Chorus:
I cried, wondering when you'll come home tonight
I cried, wondering whens the next I'll see the light?
Till' you walk through that door
I stare at you blankly and whisper,
"Your dinners getting cold"
And thinking this is getting old
How do you fall, when there's no one there to catch you at all?
Reflection in the mirror, tells you things will soon be clearer
But pacing back and forth after everyone's in bed
Your heart will bleed until everything is bled
I cried, wondering when you'll come home tonight
I cried, wondering whens the next I'll see the light?
Till' you walk through that door
I stare at you blankly and whisper,
"Your dinners getting cold"
And thinking this is getting old
Bridge:
I walk away
With feelings of dismay cuz' you think I will play this game
The loves still lit, but how much longer till' I quit?
I cried, wondering when you'll come home tonight
I cried, wondering whens the next I'll see the light?
I cried, wondering when you'll come home tonight
I cried, wondering whens the next I'll see the light?
I cried, I cried. Oh oh, I cried I cried, thinking this is getting old.
