A tearful goodbye;
Two lovers embrace.
He pulled away,
And wiped the tears from her face.
A tearful goodbye;
Makes them both pray,
That they’ll be together soon,
On some other day.
A tearful goodbye
Brought upon them the miles they learned to hate.
Their long-distance love did not end.
They both believed that it’s never too late.
A tearful goodbye
Brings memories from the past.
Joys and struggles.
Through the months alone, their love can last.
A tearful goodbye
Was a blessing in disguise;
To the world they are blind;
With only love in their eyes.
