The Forsaken Land
Whirlwind of dust,
swirled the sky.
Fell to the ground.
Howling winds,
called to me.
Hushed to the world.
Heat waves,
died out.
To the cool night.
Brittle air,
stings my lips.
Flowing stream satiates.
Majestic mountains,
stand tall.
Small tumbleweed sweeps by.
Outwardly objects,
leave a mark.
Where secrets lie.
Translucent atmosphere,
painted in deep blue.
Shroud of dark, twinkling stars illuminate.
City streets,
hustle and bustle.
Rural land, still and chill.
Lone rangers,
call this home.
The forsaken land.
