To The One He Loved
As midnight came,
He looked up at the sky
And named every single star
After her.
Except she wasn’t just a star to him.
She was the sun,
Too bright for the dull gray
That surrounded her.
But she was also the moon,
The most beautiful side of her could only be seen at night.
The side that is otherwise hidden.
And when the sun is gone,
She is the light,
That removes all darkness.
So to him,
She was the sun,
The moon,
And all his stars.
