Alice
Mind reeling, expressions fading,
Is this even a real smile?
Head up, chin up,
If you fall you fail.
Past tense failure turns into present tense pressure.
Empty days stuck in a cyclic pattern.
Rhythmic flurries of thoughts.
Alice runs to find the all familiar Wonderland.
But can't anymore.
Heart aches, Head quakes,
No breaks.
If you fall you fail.
Templates turn into structure,
as lines like boundaries allow for no drifting.
Outside opinions shatter freedom of mindless thoughts.
Walking straight was always easy but was never a choice.
If you fall, you fail.
Outward appearances allow as much transparency as wooden boards.
Build you up so that you may never fall.
If you fall you fail.
Are the broken unrepairable?
Wonderland can be found.
If you fall you fall,
to an almost forgotten ground.
