Home Alone
As I sit alone in my house,
I hear footsteps above me.
Quiet bursts of sound come from the stairs,
As claws screech against the wall.
A shadow lurks in the shape of a monster,
Teeth show in every breath.
I crouch in a ball,
Waiting to see what awaits me.
As the figure runs down the stairs,
I see a sleek, black body come to the light.
A faint shape of the figure can be seen,
As it leaps at me I scream in fear to see,
My cat.
Oh Marbles.

I wrote this because whenever I am home alone, I get the sense something is going to happen, even though it never does! One time that happened to me. I was in my room and my cat, Marbles, jumped up on my bed and I got so scared! I wanted to write this to show that everything is not as scary as it seems, even your own cat!
