Memory
A thing so simple we forget the power it has
It stores everything we have ever done
Yet some things don’t stay
They get up and leave
Yet some part of us knows
If we dig deep enough
Search hard enough
They will walk back in
Sit down and stay
Yet, other times they get torn out
You remember for years and tomorrow you forget
Unable to catch the memories
That got up and ran into the wind
Unable to ever be heard again
