To Angry Me:
Tranquilize;
take some time
to hold your breath
and close your eyes.
Don’t forget
what mother said:
“Drop your fists,
and count to ten.”
Allow the steam
to dissipate.
Your heart will cool down,
if you wait.
Now, if the red
surges again
to tint your sight
and cloud your head,
just pause once more,
relax your core,
and mindfully
remember
that what you do
can’t be undone;
you can’t reload
a smoking gun.
