Numbness
I can’t numb the pain
It tortures me so
To think of you
All the times that we shared
The memories are fading
Your voice I no longer hear
All I hear is screaming
Begging you to stay
I loved you my dear
You were my life
You were everything to me
You even promised
To make me your wife
My heart once filled with love
Is now filled with
Hate
Anger
Lust
And fear
I don’t know how to feel
But what I do know
About the word love
Is, it doesn’t exist.
For all I know
Neither did you.
