Lies are
Lies are what we are
Making up our daily life
And so much more
We hide our feelings
We lie in our writing
Even the “love” you hold so dear is one
“I’m fine.”
“You’re my best friend.”
“I love you.”
Words, the same as you,
Hold no meaning
Anymore
I toil on this lonely path
Watching everyone pass by
Just living their normal lives
Lies are what we are
What we think we could do
What we say we’ll become
They’re disillusions hiding in plain sight
