Love and Hate
My head might be
Underwater,
But I’m breathing.
Holding on,
But letting go.
You are the world to me
But also my nothing.
How could someone with great
Significance,
Pull me further and further under.
We have nothing in common,
But speak of common tongue.
We are the same difference.
Not making sense,
And making it again.
When will this ocean wave
Of what we call love
Burn into nothing.
But you are something,
Something of importance.
Something of significance,
Holding me back from what I could be
And who I could meet.
Holding me to promises that I wish to keep,
Holding me to happiness and joy.
