Watch Me Drown
I cry because of you.
You are the reason why I do what I do.
You are the one that has driven me to harm.
Do you not see these cuts on my arm?
How can you not see, that while I smile,
I have not been whole for awhile.
Blackened fringed frayed remains-all that's left of me,
And it tortures me 'cause you don't look deep enough to see.
Sometimes smiles are fake, and sometimes they are real.
I know they are because when you are around it it me you heal.
But it's you who makes me feel like scum, like I'm worthless dregs in a coffee cup.
But even though I'm ripped apart everyday by you, I suck it up.
I'm not good for you, I'm the bottom of the chain.
I'm not even worthy of your disdain.
I just hold on to hope, that someday you will see,
I am better for you then she will ever be.
Just look upon my arms, and my thighs as well.
Crisscrossed cuts, you can see, my rescue from hell.
I am so in tuned to you, every action that you do.
You break me as I fall, fall, fall.
Down, down, down,
Flailing,
Screaming,
Watch Me Drown.
