Remembered
When I die,
I do not want you to mourn.
I do not want drowsy tunes groaned over
green grass, fake flowers and tombstones.
When I die,
I want you to live.
Live after me and live for me,
laugh like I laughed, laugh like you laughed and
laugh like we laughed.
I want those who I love to always be who I loved,
to celebrate the laugh that I had,
and that we had,
and to not fall in the gloom’s deadly clutches.
When I die,
I want to be remembered
but with love,
and not with sorrow.
