Falling Silently

I was standing when it fell
a crystal cloud
shattered on the floor
silently
my legs moved away
hands over my head
but my mind stayed there
numb
life prances on
people cry as ashes scatter
I stand and wait
empty
I never heard the sound
just the memory
of time standing still
falling silently
