Ghosts surrounding me
Shadows coming to life
Claws reaching out
trying to grab me
trying to remove my maask
I do a delicate dance
to escape their skeleton hands
Is it too much to ask
to be leeft alone,
left in the darkness of my mind?
Monsters eat away at my dreams
They whisper, hiss, spit, moan
I fight, trying to be free of harm
I scream, hit, scratch, bite
The ghosts melt into the shadows
I awake, confused to see bruises covering my arms
