Something Called Heroes
I always looked to them,
The ones that stood above,
And made me wish
That I could be that way too.
Up in the stars
High from the light
With my head dizzy from dark
Wish I had their tenacity.
Wish I had their strength.
I see in them
What I can’t see in myself
I see in them
What I can’t see in anyone else.
I find a sort of distance in them,
A sort of understanding that makes them
Stronger.
I see something in them,
That makes me wish
I was too.
I can only want to be like them,
Won’t ever find even ground, because I’m stuck down here.
And they are not.
