Aspirations
I belong to the west
To the dusty plains of termination
Where death is living and breathing
Singing sage lullabies to crimson rock
Where is the truth in the world
Without an open field?
Without the crisp, wispy night
On an angled slope
Where the tall stalks of green arms
Reach into the night
Grabbing the stars with all they’ve got
To prevent the world from falling.
My world from falling.
