The writing of words- it feels absurd
Every failing line
Going round in my mind
How do I express emotions on paper?
How do I make people laugh and cry?
All my rhymes sound forced and ungainly
And I don’t even care why
I could describe my feelings in pages and pages
Or go on about the beauty of a birch tree for ages
Or the feel of the sun shining down on my skin
The despair of defeat, the joy of the win
The sight of clouds sailing in the azure sky
Or the sound of a passenger train rolling by
The smell of the rain
The thrill of a fight
But unfortunately
