Words
They have always said
Sticks and stones may break your bones
But words will never hurt you.
Well they have lied
The words, they cut,
Cut so deep it feels like they slice into my soul.
They make me want to curl up and die
Or hid away so they may never reach me.
But those words follow me to the end
Washing away my confidence
Till I break down and cry
Those stick and stones didn't break my bones
But those words... They've killed me
