The Sore Horse
This foggy morning, hearing my
friends run in the field.
Everything seems perfect like laying
in heaven. Trying to stand to my feet.
I fall. Tried again and again and again.
Feeling as if the world had ended.
Laying in the middle of the field,
passing me like a gust of wind
As I try to stand to my feet, I feel a pain
in my leg that let everyone know.
I nayed to the top of my lungs, my body
shutdown; I had no more energy.
My legs feel dead like and withering flower
in fire on a hot day in the sun.
I run and run and run some more until
this threatening pain stops me in my tracks.
It is painful to watch them run and have
fun while I lie about to cry.
I wait and wait and wait all day until I can
find a way to the bay.
After being patient the pain is finally gone
and it is in the middle of the hours of darkness.
So I ran all night long .
