You Had Me at Hello
You had me at hello
To that face I couldn't say no
With a smile that could glow
And a touch that prickled my skin like snow
I fell for you hard
That love turned into only a shard
Of what I once felt for you
When I realized what you do
I should have known that it was a trap
In the race you beat me by a lap
Because you were ahead of the game the whole time
Without my feelings kept in mind
You were playing me
Something I should have been able to see
Now I wish I could take it all back
As I take my things and pack
You can change the man in the game
But the results stay the same
I'm on the losing side
And you don't cover up your pride
I end up with a broken heart
Never seeing a fresh start
Blinded by the pain
And wondering if this world is still sane
You had me at hello
But I say the final goodbye
Because to me your just a guy
Who's trap I fell into
