I Must Leave
I watch closely,
as the butterfly flutters away,
I wait patiently,
for it to come back another day,
I live silently,
not knowing how to speak,
and I listen intently,
hoping to know what it means,
you were the Earth,
then I moved to Mars,
now that I regret it,
you reside with the stars,
my wound grows deeper,
a giant hole in my chest,
I try to keep it covered,
and hide it from the rest,
I can't let you see,
this missing piece of my heart,
so I cover it up,
and leave myself torn apart,
the tears that I cry,
must never be seen,
because I just want you happy,
so for now I must leave...
