I won't say I love you,
At least not at the start,
Because what you might do,
Is break my heart

We only just met,
And I like you a lot,
But I can't say it just yet,
Or the meaning will rot

Please understand,
That I am not ready,
But for now hold my hand,
Until my love for you is steady

Until that time,
I will do my part,
To claim you as mine,
And not break your heart
