Brand New Me

The sun is shining,
in a brand new way,
I feel so free,
and relieved today,
my heart is pounding,
in a steady flow,
my marching drum,
that makes me go,
I keep pushing forward,
with no desire to stop,
I have to keep going,
until I reach the top,
my mouth hits a smile,
and I realize then,
this is a new me,
and my chance to win,
no more giving up,
no more backing down,
I have to keep my smile,
I can no longer frown,
this is who I am,
and who I want to be,
this is a new day,
matched with a brand new me....
