Tune of a New Song
My foot hits the pavement,
and I go on my way,
walking for miles,
walking day by day,
no time to rest,
with a goal to reach,
a destination in the distance,
and people to meet,
friends and strangers,

I learn to trust,
and hope others do the same,
I find patterns in the road,
and songs make themselves known,
the patterns meet my heart,
and the magic is shown,
the walks take forever,
but they make me feel free,
the help me escape,
and get where I need to be,
I wish I never had to stop,
and could just keep going on,
hitch hiking for life,
to the tune of a new song...
