For the Fates to Take
I started this a long time ago,
and still am not finished today,
I sent myself on a journey,
and the world got in my way,
now I look back and wonder,
why this life has to be so cold,
I don't understand the way it is,
I don't get why it never unfolds,
the truth is hidden in darkness,
shattered by the lies,
and the path I keep on walking,
is a path that's hard to find,
it's the trail of the forgiven,
and the walkway of the free,
the road of the unforgotten, and the ones that a god does see,
I do not belong there,
it's just a path I found,
a way for me to be going,
and a way for the darkness to surround,
I keep on searching daily,
for a way off of this road,
where I do not belong,
and where my secrets are not told,
I am not one of the forgiven,
and my soul is not yet free,
god's may not see me,
yet I still can not leave,
so I just keep on walking,
down the path of heavenly wake,
and I lay myself on the line,
a new soul for the fates to take...
