Reflection
I look into the puddle, seeing my reflection as perfectly as if I'm facing a mirror.
My dark strawberry blond hair curls around my rosy cheeks.
My bluish-green eyes look distant and strange, almost belonging in the muddy water or the brown-grey sky.
I gaze deeper, searching my soul...
what I find there repulses me.
Quickly I kick small pebbles into the water, breaking apart the face that I so despise.
Walking swiftly away a small tear slides down my cheek, leaving behind a trail of cold, lost soul.
I can't bear myself any longer.
