What's This?
Please forgive me,
While I talk to you,
Sometimes I wander,
And forget
I do not mean to offend,
Or not to listen, but,
Sometimes I get lost,
And forget
The tip of my tongue is free,
Of thoughts,
No words unspoken reside there,
But rather my mind,
Selfish,
Hoards memories for itself,
And that’s what causes me to forget
Please forgive me,
While I cry to you,
Sometimes I’m sad,
Because I forget
I’m sorry,
I cannot contain,
My laughter,
What’s this?
You say,
I was just crying?
Oh.
Please, dear,
Do not ask me why,
Because frankly,
I forget
