Say Hello
Alone in emptiness, darkness, and pain,
I reached my hand out but remained.
My screams were lost in the song of day,
And my tears were forgotten in the darkness of night.
I found no joy or reason to live,
And I lost who I was.
I only existed in pain and sorrow,
In loneliness and without love,
Without hope.
I lost my desire, my love, my hope.
I lost my will and would only cope.
But you came along and touched my face;
You opened my eyes and reached out your hand.
You saved my life and gave me love…
You said hello.
