Roses round wrists
Roses wrapped around my wrists
The pain i do not dread
The desire increasing steadily
Every time I’ve bled
The thorny stems around my hands
Act as binding chains
The fix me to the burning earth
I’m pleading for the rains
the cold arms of neglectful gods
hold their tight embrace
pulling me down further
i not Gaia’s' stony face
black petals are my sacrifice
to Olympians on high
but the only thing i need to give
are the blood red tears i cry
