A Will to Remain Mysterious
Reaching towards the unknown
Corners of a yellowed map
Dotted with monsters, unexplored
Waters, deep and darkened
By a lack of reaching light
Concealing the undiscovered
Pleading us, with their waves
To let mysteries stay mysterious
As we disregard their pleas
Constructing our machines
That will probe downwards
Revealing everything from the deep
That never wanted to be unveiled
Dropping them in test tubes
Disecting them to nothing
No longer mysterious
No longer beautiful in their place
Hidden from our eyes
