I can simply imagine
their eyes gone wide
they'll sputter
flutter
okays
alrights
are you alright,okay?
why
anger at that burning question
why suffer, tell me, tell me
because I'll listen
that's what they will all say
but can they?
Listen to my hurt
listen to my pride
heartache fear, and me trying to avert
from the questions
I don't like them, I don't want them
because only I can hold my own burden
so why do I say
that I'm alright, okay
even fine
because no one
really wants to know
they don't want to get
tangled
in your web of lies
