Sorry Mom!!
Sitting here in my room
Just looking around
Thinking about my life
And everything I’ve done wrong.
What did I do to deserve
All the love I get from you?
I’m trying to find me.
The real me
And feel I can’t do it with you.
I’ve hurt you so much
In my short 16 years with you,
And yet you say you couldn’t live without me.
It just doesn’t make any sense!
I’m not worthy
To have a mother like you.
This selfish teen I’ve become.
You say yes because you love me
And you say no because you care.
You ask me where I’m going
Just to know I’m safe.
I’m one of very few teens
Who, willing, will still talk to you.
Though I want to get away
Losing you would be too much.
So, I’m sorry for everything.
Every, hurt I’ve caused,
Every, tear you’ve cried,
Every, time you want to runaway.
Every failing thought that has ever crossed your mind,
And every failure that I’ve made.
Every heartache and headache I’ve caused,
Every unnecessary fight,
And every stupid battle,
Every time I’ve threatened you with taking my life,
And every time I said I hate you.
And I’m sorry
For every night spent thinking
If you’re doing this right.
Cause mom,
No one could ever be as good as you!
No one does your job better
And I thank the Lord every day
For giving me a mom who cares as much as you.
