Sleep
It’s late
my eyes barely stay open
my mind shutting down on me
absolutely silence
I drag my myself up the stair
my bed calls to me
whispering promises of rest
pillows telling me ripe secrets
rich, delicious secrets
I lay down to sleep
body and soul relaxing, letting go
mind spiraling into black
I’m diving head first in
into the sea of sleep
my dreams and fantasies await me
await me on the other side
a place called Fiction
