Mournful Night
Whispering Wind, a mournful sigh,
As shadows dance beneath the sky.
Silent footfalls, a somber tread,
Echoing echoes of what lies ahead.
A crackling fire, a final breath,
Fading ember, heralding death.
A gentle sigh, a final release
Whispers of departure, a soul’s peace.
Distant thunder, a solemn toll,
Echoing through the night’s dark soul.
A steady drip, a tear’s cascade,
Mourning the loss the price we’ve paid
A hushed lament, a mournful croon
A melody sung to the pale moon.
A rustling sigh, a final goodbye,
As death’s refrain echoes, fills the sky.
In these sounds, the cycle complete,
Life’s symphony, in death’s retreat
For in each note, a tale is told,
for endings embraced, and new stories unfold.

When my teacher asked me to make some poems for a final grade, I realized I really liked it so I started making more and more and using my emotions to make these poems. This Piece was actually about losing friends. I recently lost a lot of friends and it hurt a lot. So I made this one. I've also lost a couple family members to death. So I made this one about losing those we love.
