I Am
I am my mother’s daughter.
I am perseverant,
I am passionate,
I am unwilling to settle.
With a love for teaching and a wish to help others,
I am my mother
I am my father’s daughter.
I am analytical,
I am practical.
I am ever-loving
With a strong will to lead but the yearn to please others,
I am my father.
I am my brother:
lighthearted
I am my grandma:
intelligent
I am my grandpa:
exuberant
I am a product of my environment, a reflection of the people I love.
But I am still an individual.
Full of individual thoughts,
individual feelings.
I am not my mother’s love for young children.
I am not my father’s business savvy.
I am not my brother’s sense of humor.
I am not my grandma’s baking abilities.
And I am not my grandpa’s love for the outdoors.
I am me.
I am me.
I am me.
